(New York, NY) — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addresses the United Nations General Assembly today in New York. He’s expected to criticize New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani in his remarks. Mamdani has called Netanyahu “the architect of a horrific genocide against Palestinians,” and had campaigned on a promise to have him arrested for alleged war crimes should he visit New York City. Netanyahu has accused the mayor of supporting Hamas, and said in a video this week that he was visiting the city to “tell the truth about our heroic soldiers” and about Mamdani. Today’s trip to the UN will be Netanyahu’s first visit to New York since Mamdani took office.
