Weekday Line Up
MORNINGS WITH ALLEN VICK
6:00 am – 10:00 am
It is an absolute joy to spend weekday mornings 6 to 10 AM with you great classic country. This is a great radio station and I am proud to be a small part of it.
From a very early age, I knew I wanted to be in Radio and I was captivated by it. I loved it. As with most people in the radio business, I think my obsession with music and having to know every little trivial detail about every artist and every player also played part.
I was 16 when I finally got up the nerve to call my hometown radio station in Farmville and ask if they had an opening. It was my sophomore year of high school just like most people. I started part time work engineering NASCAR races football games whatever I could do, I worked my way into a Saturday night and Sunday afternoon air shift on a little country station in Farmville and began my journey.
For the last 41 years, I have live my dream of being in Radio. I feel like it was something I was meant to do.
As with everything else to the Radio business has changed an awful lot over the last number of years but I still love it as much today as I did the first time I ever sat behind a microphone.
I’ve been married 29 years to the love of my life Jamie we have two kids Jared 26. He is employed as an engineer in Greensboro. My daughter Kendall is 20. She is currently getting her masters at UNC Greensboro. We love our kids and are currently going through a little bit of empty nest syndrome around the house but having sweet kitties that we love and spoil helps a little bit.
I’ve been with classic country a little bit over nine years and I love every minute of it I really miss Johnny Bryant, but we will continue to honor his legacy.
Johnny’s footprint is all over this radio station and this community. Thanks for letting me tell you a little bit about myself. This is certainly the condensed version of my Radio career lol.
Thank you for listening and thank you for letting me be a part of your day and letting the radio station be the soundtrack of your life . The fact that you enjoy what we do means the world and I really appreciate it.

While working for the ECU radio station (91.3 WZMB-FM), David discovered his love of broadcasting. His college DJ job transformed into a 25-year career in broadcasting. He has worked in radio markets from Raleigh to the Outer Banks.
From 2003 to 2007, David was a full-time educator, working as a social studies teacher at the Eastern NC School for the Deaf in Wilson, NC.
